Not only did we have to create high-quality 3D visualization of the residential area, but also show it in the realistic surroundings of the city center. After we estimated the required volume of 3D modeling for the urban area as seen from all various angles, it turned out to be truly enormous. As a result, we decided to employ aerial photogrammetry. Our camera drone was flying over the site of the future residential area at different heights and distances for several days. Thus, we've taken an immense number of shots and generated a 3D textured mesh of practically the entire Yekaterinburg city center. We manually made a model of the buildings nearby. The distant view is a 360° panorama photo. The final software comprises two parts. The first is an interactive 3D presentation, started from a touch table with 4K resolution. It operates together with the other part, installed on the high performance server, which is connected to the panoramic screen with a more than 10K resolution. To render real-time graphics with the same resolution and frame rate of at least 30 frames per second, we had to unleash the power of two Nvidia GTX1080ti video cards in SLI mode. Virtual Tour is controlled by a gamepad. All actions with the database and customers' personal accounts are synchronized with the sales management system, used in the company's Sales Department.
